Frontier Airlines reservations and information on Yahoo! FareChase
By Anonymous SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Logistechs Inc. announced today that it has signed a three year inventory planning and optimization agreement with ATA Airlines, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATAH), the 10th largest passenger airline in the U.S.
Logistechs will use its proprietary inventory optimization methods to plan spare part requirements for ATA's Boeing 757-200, 757-300 and Next Generation 737 aircraft fleets. Both organizations expect that optimized spares planning will ensure that ATA continues to achieve service level objectives while investing less in spares than traditional planning techniques permit.
The services agreement calls for Logistechs to provide ATA with stocking quantities and allocations of rotable and repairable materials that maintain or improve ATA's current inventory performance while reducing total cost.
"We are excited to have ATA Airlines as a client. It demonstrates that those organizations with new aircraft, rigorous planning and low-cost structures can benefit from applying Logistechs' optimization techniques to their inventory plan to further reduce inventory costs," comments Chris Fiddes, Vice President of Logistechs.
Now celebrating its 30th year of operation, ATA (http://www.ata.com) is the nation's 10th-largest passenger carrier based on revenue passenger miles. ATA operates significant scheduled service from Chicago-Midway, Hawaii, Indianapolis and New York to over 40 business and vacation destinations.
