Parkinson’s Resource Organization To Offer Continental Airlines BusinessFirst Tickets at Annual Autumn Gala

Palm Desert, CA July 15, 2004 -- Parkinson’s Resource Organization is pleased to announce that Continental Airlines has generously donated trans-Atlantic BusinessFirst tickets for two from anywhere in the United States to anywhere the other side of the Atlantic that Continental Airlines flies as a portion of the Grand Prize package being offered by PRO at it’s 15th year celebration.

Parkinson’s Resource Organization is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary by holding its Annual Autumn Gala fundraising event, “Broadway PRO’s”, at the St. Regis Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 2, 2004. The Gala will be a magnificent evening of silent auction, dinner, dancing and Broadway celebrities performing Broadway entertainment, highlighted by a GRAND PRIZE DRAWING. The Continental Airlines transportation is only a portion of the Grand Prize package. Invitations will be sent throughout the United States and PRO anticipates a full house.

The celebration honors Jo Rosen. Ms. Rosen is founder of the Parkinson’s Resource Organization and has been its Volunteer President for over fifteen years. Her unwavering dedication to PRO, and all who support her efforts, has resulted in much-needed help to hundreds of families affected by Parkinson’s.

Continental Airlines has a long history of supporting PRO, and Jo Rosen personally extends her heartfelt thanks to Continental Airlines for their wonderful contribution.

PRO also raises funds for respite care for caregivers who otherwise could not afford to take time off from caring for someone with fourth or fifth stage Parkinson’s.

The funds raised by the annual Autumn Gala event represent a significant portion of Parkinson’s Resource Organization’s annual program budget. PRO has support groups throughout Southern California and an outreach, by way of a monthly news letter, throughout the U.S. and 13 other countries. These dollars help PRO offer these programs at no cost to the families with Parkinson’s.
